Our agreement with you

We are committed to building a good, long-term relationship with you. Our aim is to provide excellence in quality and care, as you would expect from us, at all times. To provide you with the best care, we also expect certain things from you. After all, the quality of our care greatly depends on good communication and mutual trust.

Conditions: To avoid unnecessary treatments and keep your teeth in good condition, it is vital to visit your dentist regularly. We strongly recommend a six-monthly check-up for all patients. We will inform you of your check-up by e-mail or postcard.  We prefer to send this reminder by e-mail. If we do not have your e-mail address yet, please inform us of your details. It is also handy if we have your mobile phone number. We will send you a free appointment reminder SMS one day in advance. You can cancel a six-monthly check-up by phone up to 24 hours in advance, and an appointment for treatment up to 48 hours in advance. If you cancel your appointment well in advance, we can usually fill the vacant place again and there will be no further consequences.

Failure to attend appointment: If you fail to attend your appointment without cancelling, the treatment room and the time reserved by the treatment practitioners is wasted. Critically examining the costs of our health care is a general social aim. Efficient, conscious and minimal waste. After all, no one likes having to pay for unnecessary costs that were caused by others.

The policy at Verhaeg Tandartsen is to deal with failures to attend appointments critically, but at same time leniently. We therefore send a free appointment reminder SMS. For a first ‘no-show’ for an appointment of less than 45 minutes, we will contact you by letter or telephone. For the second ‘no-show’ or for a first ‘no-show’ for an appointment of more than 45 minutes, we will be obliged to charge you for the wasted treatment time. These costs will not be reimbursed by your health insurance provider. We hope that thanks to our reminder service this will not be necessary. In the unlikely event that an e-mail or SMS service fails to function, it remains your responsibility to attend your appointment.

Fees: The fees for dental treatment in 2023 are almost the same as last year; all dental care providers are obliged to apply the same prices. Each element of a treatment has a specific code that also describes the treatment. This code is stated in any quotations and on the invoice your receive. That makes the cost structure transparent.

Health insurance policy conditions: If you are uncertain whether the cost of the treatment will be reimbursed by your health insurance provider, ask your dentist for a cost estimation and inquire whether the treatment is covered by your health insurance. This will avoid disappointment and misunderstanding at a later date.

Payment: The invoicing process is handled by Infomedics on behalf of Verhaeg Tandartsen. Infomedics will send you an invoice by e-mail for the remaining amount that is not covered by your health insurance. This is a digital invoice that can be paid easily using iDEAL. You may also choose to receive the invoice yourself first or have the invoice sent by post. Please inform the receptionist. For more information, see: www.infomedics.nl.

Complaints procedure: We are committed to building a good, long-term relationship with you. Should you have a complaint or are dissatisfied with certain matters, please discuss this with your dentist. If we fail to resolve the complaint together, we are affiliated with the KNMT complaints scheme for patients.
